VREDE is a wearable neurofeedback device that delivers first aid for panic attacks and traumatic stress. Clinical therapy, carried with you.
Problem: Intervention should meet people where they are: in the body, in the moment.Process: The research: neurofeedback works best at the location of the trigger. In-ear EEG kept the device small and discreet. Shape-shifting nanotube materials gave it a custom fit, which accurate readings demand. I designed the form, the fit, and the interaction: read brainwaves, set personal goals, reward progress with sound.
Outcome: A concept built on real technology. In-ear EEG exists. Adaptive materials exist. VREDE shows what they become when someone designs for the worst five minutes of your day.
