VREDE | INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER
VREDE is a wearable neurofeedback device that delivers first aid for panic attacks and traumatic stress. Clinical therapy, carried with you.
The Challenge: PTSD surfaces in ordinary moments. A sound, a smell, a crowded room. Clinical treatment works, but it happens on a schedule.
The Approach: "Neurofeedback training works best at the location of the trigger." In-ear EEG places the sensor at the source and keeps the device small enough to disappear. Shape-shifting carbon nanotube materials form a custom fit, because precise contact is what accurate readings require. Sensors read brainwave activity, VREDE sets a personal baseline, and when the brain meets its goal, it rewards with sound. Between episodes, it monitors daily biosignals so users can map their own triggers over time.
The Outcome:  A concept built on real technology. In-ear EEG exists. Adaptive materials exist. VREDE shows what they become when someone designs for the worst five minutes of your day.
